A woman is escaping her abusive boyfriend and steals a car, only to realize that the owner is sleeping in the backseat. Over the course of a long road trip, the two fall in love and meet interesting people and places along the way. At the end of the movie, the girl learns that the car doesn't belong to the guy, he was only sleeping in it because he is homeless and the two realize that they both have problems, but are essentially meant for each other.
